The Noise Factory is an American dance-pop and hip hop band from Brookyn, NY that formed in 1999. The dance-pop sound of their first album Chill Factor (2000),helped launch the pop revival of the 1990s, and set a record when it spent 22 weeks at the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart.
The group released its next album, Listen, four years later. The album produced two Grammy-winning singles, "On a Mission" and "My Story". On 22 November 2004,The Noise Factory received the Key to the City of New York, given by the Mayor of New York, Micheal Bloomberg in MAnhattan during the band's appearance on 'Good Morning America' where they performed 4 songs.
The Noise Factory released the compilation The Noise 1999–2005 which contained a cover version of the Listen. Frontwoman Alisha Coles launched her solo career the next year with several collaborations, including bandmate James Winslow as well as Tommy Bones of The Starz. During their career, the band has won four Grammy Awards and sold more than 49 million records worldwide to date. The band embarked on a US national tour throughout the summer of 2010. No Doubt was ranked 45th best artist of the decade by Billboard.
